Propaganda
When will it go out of style? Is everything propaganda to a degree? Why do people prey on youth with their narrow-minded, hateful ways? These questions are prompted by an article I read just now on the new documentary, "Jesus Camp". I can't wait to see it. (Though something tells me it won't be coming to a theater near me.) I find it ironic that this article was in a back section of the paper (though I'm glad to find it there at all) and the front page included a moment of fond remembrance for last year's "Central Washington Festival", the Christian music festival that decided not to bill itself as such up front. Isn't that false advertising?
Oh, and this reminds me of the unbelievable duo I recently heard about, Prussian Blue. Ah yes, bluegrass neo-nazi fusion delivered by fresh young home-schooled pre-teens. Maybe it really is springtime for Hitler in Bakersfield?
Yarg. I wish people could be nice to each other and encourage others to do the same. People. Neighborhoods. Villages. Towns. Cities. States. Commonwealths. Countries. Continents. Planets... (Even recently demoted ones.) Be nice. Think critically. Hug each other.
Too much musing for now. Time to wake up the boy and go celebrate in faux Bavaria...
